Stratex Resources is advancing the feasibility-stage Kalahari Platinum (“Kalplats”) Project, a 6.29Moz 3E PGM deposit situated along the highly endowed western limb of the Kraaipan Greenstone Belt in South Africa’s North West Province. The project has a combined Measured and Indicated resource of 3.3Moz 3E at an average grade of 1.48g/t, plus a further 2.9Moz Inferred, and substantial resource expansion potential along strike and dip.

Kalplats was previously held by Platinum Australia and African Thunder Platinum, who advanced the development of the project through 1998-2014, culminating in a historical feasibility study and NI 43-101 technical report produced in 2014 and updated in 2020.

Kalplats is a low-risk, open-pit development with a planned 1.5 Mtpa operation, producing 90-100kozpa of 3E concentrate over a 12-year mine life. Prior feasibility work demonstrates compelling project economics, including pre-tax IRRs of 36–40% and NPVs of US$280–320M at prevailing metal prices. Additional upside is identified in metallurgical recovery optimisation, ore-sorting pre-concentration and potential Capex reductions via integration with nearby Kalgold mine infrastructure.

Stratex plans to complete an updated feasibility study in Q1 2026, positioning Kalplats for project financing and rapid transition into construction.
